I have only one regret about this bomb and that is my cousin possiblily died from its contamination 26 years later. He was a slave POW held in Moji about 120 ks away from Hiroshima, he'd been captive since 1941 in Moji used as slave labourers on the docks. Starved, beaten and with little or no medical treatment, Even the civilians beat them. So sorry if offends anybody they were all guilty.
RIP Jackie.

Thanks for that Tomarse, ive seen the trailers for that film but as yet havent seen it. Must put it on my to do list.
Thought i would add this excerpt from his diary.

"Back to work on the 4th after coming out of sick bay on the 3rd may 1945.
5th May 1945 could hardly walk to work . Fetched home on a cart with same complaint. We also saw for the first time Yankee B29s about 123 they look like large glass swans as they came out of the clouds"

I pleased that you have decided to let us all see the diary. i was honoured by our geoffury by letting me see the whole hand written diary in photo form along with a few others photographs of the gentleman that wrote it.

it isn't a big diary but we have to remember that had he been caught writing the diary it would have been the ultimate cost to pay.
