Just over a week ago I downloaded a program/virus, it came down with a Java update, and has taken over my Home page. This virus is a very clever basket it alters your registry. Now I am unable to get rid of it, as it hides itself. I have scanned with various anti virus/male ware programs, I have deleted it and its associate programs from my computer, but still it exist, and is driving me and my next door neighbour, who has spent hours reading instructions on how to get rid of this dam program, all to no avail. So Guy's and Girls be very very careful when downloading Java Updates.

Custom: That is the way the mop flops
Thanks George for that tip and hope the old timers does not kick in if it pops up on my screen. Got an email from Skype to update that site and have ignored it as I reckon that if it is kosher then it will do it while on line with Skype. I know I am paranoid about it but have been done years ago. I have now installed a third HDD into the computer all three are the same size. One working as master another just for the backups and the third one not connected but periodically update the files on it about once a month. Reason being that if I get a virus then I unplug the two resident HDD and boot up on the stand by one hopefully to have a fully functioning system and able to reformat the other two buggers.

Well Lads, This damn virus has beaten us. End result one very effed up computer that I now need to buy a new disc in order to have it reformatted. I could take it to my local PC repair shop, but with a disc I will be able to repair the machine anytime it goes wrong in the future.
