The Concrete built ship SS Atlantus ,built 1919 and wrecked off Cape May, New Jersey. See below for as she looks today.

Remember the old concrete barges, there were a few of them used as landing piers on Caldey Island west wales there were a few wrecked on the beaches on the mainland as well.Took these photo,s when i was over there a few years ago, you can still make out the bitts on them. :baby:
Cant get the photos to up load, and im peddling as fast as i can. Maybe Sparks with his crystal ball can help out with a photo :scratchhead:

Here's the landing jetty on Caldey Island Taff. They built it out of redundant WW2 barges filled with concrete

I don't Know what i was doing wrong, but it was taking ages to load the photo,s then it told me the upload not successful.
I used the add image to post at the bottom of this box. ?? :baby:
Caldey Island is a beautiful place and i would recommend a visit to anyone that goes to Tenby, but pick a nice day to do it,
nothing worse than a boat load of people all calling for HUGHIE at the same time :thumbsdown: . LOL

Interesting sites Tom, So sad that a lot of that expertise and craftsmanship along Wearside has gone to the wall.

re. the Hydro whatsit, getting it sorted with a minor op soon. Be able to get into me speedos again then without frightening the horses :thumbsupp:

It's the semi submersible heavy lift vessel " Fjell", with her aft section showing. I'm sure Taffy will have a more colourfully, entertaining explanation
