Haven't got the answer but I just have to show this one...

Irish mile:
6720 feet. 2240 yards. Old measure. Beware when told that an Irish distance is "a mile and a bit." The bit may be longer than the mile! Typical Irish :lmao:

Going back to school days I understand that a Hand is a unit of length, standardized at 4 inches (10.16 cm) and used today primarily for measuring the height of horses from the ground to the withers (top of the shoulders). The unit was originally defined as the breadth of the palm including the thumb. A statute of King Henry VIII of England established the hand at four inches.
I also think That space measurements also use the Hand in there calculations .
So is the answer 288 inches ??
Reg

My apologies, ive made a penis up should read 18 hands , not 72. That will teach me to try and multi task.

Yes Sir Reg a hand is 4 inches measured across the palm but not including the thumb.
1) an international measurement
2) been in existence for hundreds of years
3) equal to 18 hands.
4) this is also an average body measurement, (same as a hand is one also)

Value in feet = 18 hand's × 0.33333333333333 = 6 feet,
Answer 18 Hands is equal to 6 feet.
