I got a job ashore in January 1969,it was in a back street factory in Birmingham. I was employed as a paint sprayer and the spray booth I worked on had a huge horn speaker abover nit. This was connected to a radio in the works managers office,which was permanently tuned to radio One. It was there that I first heard Marmalade and Oh Blah bloody Dee. It was played incessantly by the gormless DJ's and I was getting it at 121 decibel's. For years I could'nt listen to it without feeling the need to tear someone's throat out,namely Paul McArtney. I must be getting old ,I enjoyed watching that old clip and nearly sang along with it !
