for surei thought that this time we'd be beaten. the saints have some very good players indeed that posses some vision and creativity. had it not been for that great shot from gardener it could have been the saints going through.

i have to say though for premier league players both team made some terrible schoolboy mistakes and it looked like that cattermole stayed off the beer on friday night.

at least the saints aren't fighting to get out of the relegation group

after the sad end to a good run to two league cups we are now still fighting to escape from the relegation zone. the fans of Sunderland are still supporting this top team of inconsistency. week in week out they let the fans down and without any penalty for players failing to stay up to scratch i cannot see any improvement.

i have to say that this is not a new route sunderland are following it appears to be norm that players arrive playe a few goood games and then slump into what appears to be the "i don't give a toss syndrome".

today is a fight for escape with Norwich city who sit at 15th with 29 points which is 4 points ahead of us.

Haway the Lads and get ya finger out ;ex

Well Pompey have survived to live another season in Division 2 and have a sell out crowed for the final game of the season against Plymouth, so pup. Tom I have everything crossed you will avoid the drop to the Championship. And if Terry is about I wish his Liverpool well, and hope they win the Premier

as we have with the premier george but that can change far easier than the drop of a hat. when i watched the game with chelsea i seen the frustration show with them as they continuously failed to get through to minone and that was amplified due to some very good refereeing on the day.

i have to say with honesty, i love to see all the big teams beaten no matter by whom and really enjoy whatching the managersface expression and their pet lips pop up th_lmao1-vi.gif th_lmao1-vi.gif th_lmao1-vi.gif none of them seem so have any humility do they?

well we turned over Man utd today despite man u have greater possession and some pretty wild shots at sunderland's goal. sunderland took the punishment and kept their shape pretty damn good and too advantage of some good moments of possession hitting the bottom of the left upright and later in the game the top left crossbar at this point man u looked somewhat shaken by the brilliant play of the woodwork. man u shots at the latter end of the game were starting to show signs of a little desperation.

Man Utd 0-1 Sunderland

this looks like the end of the euro footy for them all caused by sunderland today. now we need to keep an eye on norwich :steer:

it look like we cold survive to george

Good result against Man U Tom. Think if you can beet West Brom you will be safe. Pompey and Plymouth signed off the season with all guns blazing and a 4 all draw, with a sell out crowed to help there finances.

Well Tom mate your lads have made it. Not sure your man Poyat can believe it, right now. Lets just hope our two teams can do a far better job next season.

it's not only poyett finds it difficult to believe George ;eyes1 i didn't get to the game but i did watch it on the pc and i must say that the second goal scored by Borini was gem not forgetting larsson who set it up for him with a gentle overhead lift.

we still have one game left but i can assure you that it will be a carnival atmosphere. there are quite a few of the team that will be returning to their home teams from loan to safc and some with expired contracts, in all honesty many of them need to be dumped too

Haway the lads ;footy ;footy

Reckon your lads were suffering from hangovers Tom :drunk: Still your safe. Now I suppose your man can start to throw off the I'tye shackles and put his own mark down. Portsmouth have already let 9 players go, but are trying to sign two of the loan players.

hi george... yes it's all over and the fat lady sang her song. as for the I-tye shackles there is quite a job on for poyett and whoever has fingers in the pie. we have a number with already expired contracts so if he wants to get shot of those it makes it easier, i just would like to see sunderland back in the light with a good reputation.

yes the first half was a nightmare th_lmao1-vi.gif but they didn't care, no doubt poyett had a word with them and they came out in the second half with some determination to entertain the crowd as they should have done at the beginning. it may have been the last game but they were failing to show respect for the people that paid to see a game played

it seems that your gaffers at the club are on the ball already and are showing a determination to shine.

i guess we should start a thread for the world cup next. i don't know about you but i look forward to it every time.

World Cup I love it. Can't see England winning it, yet in general I like the look of the squad, a very youthful one, and they will probably have more stamina than the older players, especially in the heat and humidity of Brasil. Roll on the first match.

Dam England loose to the bleeding I'ty's, still for once they went down fighting for a change. Portsmouth have started to re-build there squad with what looks like a half decent goalkeeper, they got the midfield player they had on loan back end of last season, and one of our up and coming young starlets has re-signed.

Looks like your lads have a reasonable start to the season Tom. Not sure about West Brom but Saints are rebuilding, or asset stripping, either way they shouldn't be to difficult to see off. Portsmouth start with a trip to Exeter on the 9th, They been turned over in the last 2 friendlies Bournemouth and Charlton. But we have a team and a more stable club than at this time last year PUP
