well we are off to a bad start start and it seems that the whole of the north is on the same track, with the exception of carisle who beat qpr.

after sunderland having most of the game fulham took what was about the only opportunity they had in the whole game to put one over the line but that's footy for you ;dntkn

Well Portsmouth have survived being wound up, and the fans have taken control. First home game against Oxford drew a crowed of 1800, we lost. But the team are starting to jell now, and sit around mid table on 9 points. So fingers crossed Portsmouth will enjoy a more settled time to be able to regain there dignity for the future. Play up Pompey

Hell Tom there must be something wrong behind the scenes up there. O'Neil didn't do to well now Di Canio. Sadly I haven't been able to see much Football so far but hope that will change soon, then I will have a better understanding of what's going on. I see Terry's Liverpool have made a good start to the season.

Tom mate, I know its early days but surely now is the time to pay him off, and bring in a new manager, Not sure but I think Gus Poyet is out of work, he did a good job at Fulham and Brighten on shoe string budgets.

last night sunderland were cup action with peterborough, and took the game 2-0. commentators said that sunderland showed some inventivness in their game, personally i wouldn't evan have made that comment as the team they beat is 1st division and in my view a premier team should have took the game by a bigger goal difference than 2.

kevin ball took the caretaking job and led them into the game.. lets face they still don't have anything to brag about simply because they should be far, far better.

saturday's game was an improvement on their playing and actually started looking like footballers despite being beaten 1-3. poor kevin ball has a lot to do considering he is just a caretaker.

the only way is up ;footy ;footy

george, we have Man u at 1700 today so i think if they are playing as a team it will show in the result today and i don't necessarilly mean by winning.

as for kevin ball hanging on to the job i wouldn't take a guess as they have already picked what i wouldn't in past choices

outcome was as i expected but the performance was far better for at least 50% of the game and stats showed for the first half they were well matched. i guess that the first half took it out of them (still not acceptable for pro's). one thing i did notice, they gave away the ball far to many times, passind varied from short, wide and very heavy. they also appeared to become less mobile and failed to follow the rule of pass n move. on marking they still seem to be one pace to far off their man and fail to try and shake off their opponents, i'm sure altidor seems to be glued to the shoulder of his marker, for my money he was a waste of it, dump him!
