Thanks Howard it is good to see photo's that have taken a lot to produce. Now Terry can get into making another model of the Titanic as it is today to display alongside his other one LOL

Les the only way i could see Terry copying that model was if he built the model in plastic and then melted it.
She sure is a mess.

Watched the two part story on the Titanic T.V. Tonight more like watching Coronation Street. Bloody awfull they should have consulted me i could have told them a more correct account of events regarding the Ship,s fate. Build that Les, :scratchhead: { NO THANKS} Regards lads Terry.

Would be a piece of cake to build that mate. All you would have to do is get the original plans and then give them to the pollies to build. Reckon it would come out looking just like it does today but four times over budget.

The bloody moggie next door hates me and i hate it. Keeps swiping its paws around my lug holes when i go out in my yard it reminds me of Gail out of coronation street th_lmao1-vi.gif

very interesting article, Howard. Roy subscribes to Nat. Geo so will have a look when the issue comes in.

Les, Terry, & Geoff are incorrigible...

Tom, Although that footage is over 100 years old, It was never documented what ensign she flew the day she sailed on her maiden voyage , Knowone is certain which flag the blue or the red, As it was Commodore Captain Smiths decision. And you can watch that a 1.000 times you will or anyone else be certain which one it was.Terry. :hno:

Cheers Tom, Still navigating my way around after a long time away, But getting there hope all is well in your world mate Terry. I done a hell of a lot of research on the Titanic at one time ireckon i have forgotten more than i know. [merchflag]
10 interesting things regarding Titanic.

1, All 8 Able Seaman survived.
2, She was never deemed unsinkable by White Star line, That was press conjectured.
3, A young apprentice draughtsman, Worked out she never had the capacity in 20 lifeboats to accommodate everyone after taking his findings to the foreman, He was sacked on the spot for doubting his elders.
4, In 1983 after Titanic was found the safe from the pursers office which contained a fortune in passengers gems, etc..was brought to the surface in a t.v. documentary and opened, It was empty.
5, Her 4th funnel was ornamental, Made her look quicker than she was.
6, When launched, She was bigger as in weight displacement than any ship in the U.S Navy.
7, The first seaman to get off her and back ashore safe when she foundered was her pilot.
8, Passengers after she struck the berg refused to board boat 13, It was found adrift empty.
9, She sunk in 1912 add those 4 digits up you get number 13, Was it unlucky for some.
10,Although every attachment on her hull was duplicted port and starboard she had 13 of these attatched for all to see on her hull anyone know what they where ??? :scratchhead: Re Terry. :steer:

Terry, if i remember right on the capacity of lifeboats.
cargo ships had to provide total crew capacity in the boats on either side, Ie all the crew had to fit in all starboard or port boats.
Passenger ships had to provide total passengers and crew in all the provided lifeboats
