;duh1 what carry on to change a battery, there seems to be a severe lack of thought in the design and the practicality of the need of change.
no doubt you had one of your serfs to do the job th_lmao1-vi.gif th_lmao1-vi.gif th_lmao1-vi.gif

Must agree with you Tomarse, but then again it was built by robots and you are not supposed to change the battery you just buy another car. Gone are the days of making DIY adjustments.
I cant really see the point of these electric cars as you still have to plug them in and WHAT power source are they using to generate this electric.????

Hi Tomars & taffy2,
As I can see you have little knowledge of how a Toyota hybrid works,
The following utube is designed for those of us who don't understand that the hybrid dose not depend on 240v recharge.....

i understand the idea of how it works, what i see in the palaver to have to change the batteries is terrible as it's a total dismantle of the rear interior where pushing or folding front seats as far forward as possible then hinging the rear seat that could also be tipped to a workable position. i see that there is lots of pieces, bolts, studs and screws removed that with better design could be avoided.

after saying that seeing that i don't have a car m'lord i would still have a one if it was thrown at me :lmao:

Technically it looks good Sir Reg, but they still have a long long way to go. I watched one video where they said they were getting 50 MPG (american) Im getting 48 MPG out of a nissan tidda and i havent got to lug around a huge battery and electric motor/ generator which would equal the weight of 2.5 people.
The most unfortunate thing about using sustainable energy is that whenever somebody comes up with something that works the petro/chemical big boys get a hold of it and file it away so that it will never come on the market or see the light of day again. nope.gif

Very informative m'lord and only to willing to wash and polish your car for you. Personally would not get one as I still think that they are overpriced at the moment but the killer for me is that bloody space saver spare wheel. Geoff would understand this more. Fancy being out bush and having to rely on that spare wheel to get you to a place that can solve the problem as well as one that is open at the time. Do believe that some car makers have gone to extreme lengths of only providing a can of pressurised gear to get one out of the excrement.

Best use ive seen for those biscuits is used on a trailer. thought you are governed by a 60k speed limit.
Just checked the weights on the Prius and Tiida cars of similar size.
Prius kerb weight 1365 kgs
Tiida kerb weight 1125 kgs.
Which basically means your always driving with a full load of passengers.
That aside Sir, please make sure that Mr Les does a proper job on the valeting of the car.

Thank you for that kind invitation Sire and hope you do not mind me being a tad tardy while I polish your bathroom seat then clean my hands so as not to tarnish the fine silver why we partake our high tea. Will it be full dress sire or just suit and tie this time.

Hi Le Les, Those nasty lads are trying to upset you, don't worry, I shall put you under our wing.
We thank you for attending our High Tea, and hope you enjoyed yourself. Josephine found it very strange when you passed her a wine gum after she asked you for a glass of wine. but I guess this must have been an error on your behalf as the wine was only 5 pounds a glass.
Reg.

Thank you for that Sire and thought that was the best wine I have ever tasted and no expense was spared in purchasing said wine. Must apologise to Josephine later on and explain that my hearing is not the best. I must also thank you for the purchase of the manual lawn mower it is so much easier now than the scythe when manicuring the front garden.
