I have found Sammy Eagles the chap I thought I had Jumped Ship with In Auckland 1966,It turns out with the passage of time, and my fading memories I had his name confused with Eddie Molloy.

I managed to obtain the ships log with the help of Robert OHara from searchers@searchers-na.co.uk He did a wonderful job and uprooted the ships logs in a box in Newfoundland.

After all this time, it turned out I had sailed on the Lancastrian with Sammy, how I got his name confused I don't Know. However my search is now on for EDDIE MOLLOY who deserted the Cape Wrath at the same time as me. If anyone knows of his whereabouts I would love to get in touch. He may still be in New Zealand, or anywhere else in the world, I imagine his age is mid 60's
